Charles Walters was born on 10 April 1973 in Johannesburg, South Africa. He always reminds his friends that 73 was a great year for retail. Charles moved from city to city from very young age. He started his schooling in (1980) Durban, Sea View. Moved back to Johannesburg for two years (1983/1984) then settling in Queenstown, Eastern Cape where he completed high school (1990). After his military service he started straight into retail, selling recycled clothing.

Charles is a husband (married to Lani), father (daughter Jade), son (Sidney and Susan) and a brother (Bernadine and Louise). He loves family time and any time outdoors, (cycling, running and game drives) make him happy. Favourite spots are Red Barn and Rietvlei in Pretoria. He believes in family first and having a balance in live between work and play.

As a retailer he has worked for most National Retailers (Edgars 14 years, Woolworths 7 years, Pepkor 2 years, Coat King 3 years to name some). He is currently returning from 2-year contract in Saudi Arabia where he worked as Country Manager for William Sonoma Furniture. Working as a retailer you always wearing formal wear like T.M. Lewin, Studio W and House Brands (Edgars & Woolworths).
